Some consultations, investigations, and hemorrhoid procedures may be covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) when they are medically necessary and the patient meets OHIP eligibility requirements. Coverage is determined by the treating physician in accordance with OHIP policies.
Services that are not covered by OHIP, including certain elective procedures, uninsured products or supplies, and administrative services, are the responsibility of the patient. Any applicable fees will be discussed before treatment so patients can make informed decisions.
